Sohar, The Oman Organisation

C. Steinweg Oman LLC (CSO) was established in Oman early 2004 and was awarded a 25 year concession for all dry-bulk, break-bulk and container stuffing and stripping related operations in the Port of Sohar.
CSO signed this concession in January 2004.
In April 2004 the first ship was handled at the Sohar port, and the CSO multipurpose terminal has been operating and developing successfully ever since.
The CSO terminal handles industrial project cargos, among which many heavy lifts, a variety of break-bulk cargos (aluminium ingots & sows, steel billets, steel coils, steel pipes & tubulars, steel plates) and dry-bulk cargos.
Furthermore CSO has established a CFS service and is responsible for all stuffing and stripping requirements inside Port of Sohar.
CSO is a total logistic service provider who pro-actively thinks and acts together with the customer to find an optimum cargo handling, storage and delivery, i.e. the overall most cost effective and efficient solution. Furthermore CSO provides extensive on-land and sea freight forwarding services.
CSO has built up a profound experience in operations under challenging circumstances in relation to time constrains, training of local people, equipment accessibility, etc. A fast and flexible response to changes in circumstances is possible through a global plug-in/back-up of knowledge, equipment, experience and personnel.
CSO can rely on its extensive in-house expertise in bulk, break-bulk and container operations and can refer to the expertise of the international organisation of which it is part.
